My morning gratefulness
It’s 6:45 in the morning and I just woke up. I woke up gently and relaxed and I took my time to get out of bed. With my favorite pajamas on I inch down the stairs where why dad is uninterruptedly performing his morning ritual. I have to say that he makes a remarkable appearance in the morning. With his Albert Einstein hairstyle, in his underwear, outside where it is freezing, he is standing with a cup coffee and a cigarette in his hands. He is usually the first person I see in the morning and his appearance is the first thing that puts a smile on my face. I have to admit that I am like my dad. I also have a ritual in the morning. The ritual requires a drowsy state of mind, a spiced cake and most importantly, a fresh cup of coffee! Boy oh boy, that cup of coffee makes my day. It gives me warmth, it wakes up my senses with it’s lovely scent, it’s makes my spiced cake so much more tasty and I just really, really enjoy it. Most of the days I just drink it and continue my ritual to make myself ready for the day. But today, today I am taking my time. I am taking my time to enjoy it, to feel grateful, and to share this lovely, warm feeling with the world!
I dedicate this blog to my dad and the cup of coffee in the morning. I like to start my day with you both; in fact, I love to start my day with you and I am most grateful for it. Thanks for being there every morning.
