Stubborn in nature, he’d finally found a job where his passion feels home: writing. He wakes up fast compared with Rebel and Ace, but fails to catch up late in a pub. Leaving out of account his intolerance for alcohol. Chocolat on the other hand is his best friend, though their love affair is similar to the one of the black widow; in the end, one will be eaten.Stubborn in nature, he’d finally found a job where his passion feels home: writing. How to find your dreams with responsibility

In front of me is a baby eating a donut: ‘Jajangiiieej’. What happens to our innocence when we grow older? I am not sure whether we lose it or don’t prioritize it anymore. What I do know is that we gain many responsibilities we didn’t particularly ask for. Talking for myself; I can’t remember asking for responsibilities whhile playing in the garden exploring human nature. It seems we don’t have a choice and have to meet our responsibility at one point in our lives. Responsibility: ‘The state or fact of...

Tale of happiness: The girl without imagination

Once upon a time… Silence filled the cold air. Though darkness had fallen down, you could smell the approaching snowstorm already. The absence of voices covered the main street. Another drop fell down, her head was covered with a colorful blanket. Purple, red and yellow in diamond prints to be precise. She touched her nose briefly and smiled while she hid her hand back into her cozy mountain of blankets. Her feet shuffled down the alley she turned in and an old lady crossed her path 40 yards in front of her. She stopped and heard her...

Performing magic unlocks the truth

I sit still, while listening to Israel Kamakakiwo’oles Somewhere over the Rainbow. My two brothers work their planning. Two Livinstone palms enrich the air with oxygen. Climate control cares for a comfortable temperature. Sunlight enters our office by through 4 large windows, while I enjoy the endless possibilities of this Macbook. I recall the previous performances at ‘Parktheater’ in Eindhoven. Privileged with the opportunity to be a part of the play ‘Jane Eyre’ I enjoy my memories. 4 performances, 4 standing...

Tale of happiness: Choice for toys

What if this life was but a dream? If every experience you’ve had so far is nothing more than your imagination at work? What if your life is the sum-up of your thoughts: and therefore your truth? What if you’re wrong about what’s possible and impossible? And what if you find out that you’ve never really listened to someone else… Once upon a time… there was a boy who wanted to grow up. To be so strong that he could protect each and every human being from poverty. Every child of his age and younger would be having more toys...

What would I do if I could not fail?

An impression after 6 minutes of typing: ‘Try to fly, jumping off the empire state building, after a flight where I’d made love with my girl in 1st class invisible for fellow travellers or stewards. I would finish a book every month – spending 10 hours a week at it. I would go to the casino and bet my whole fortune at number 0, win and exit. I would ask Nathalie Portman for a kiss on my cheek. I would try to feel my body every moment of my life, following it’s directions and trust on my intuition. I would try to awake Michael Jackson...

Tale of happiness: Dancing in the rain

Once upon a time so many rain fell down on Forest that he stopped dancing to look up. Huge drops of water fell down from the trees in the woods where he’d normally practiced his dancing skills together with Norah. He blinked his eyes to protect them from the raindrops and wondered: ‘Too bad Norah’s not here to let go…’ His feet took him back to the ground away from his thoughts, worries and fears. The wet leafs marked the dancefloor and served as the smoothest surface Forest had ever danced on. He greatly enjoyed the in-earphones...

The crazy road to a quote

“The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They invent. They imagine. They heal. They explore. They create. They inspire. They push the human race forward. Maybe they have to be crazy. How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art? Or sit in silence and hear a song that’s never been written? Or gaze at a red...

Tale of happiness: The dream asleep

This week I got inspired by my girlfriend who stood in the door smiling… while I went off to work. It’s a miracle I survived my melt down… Once upon a time a young girl lay in bed dreaming about her perfect life. Being a dreamer in nature she wandered off to a bed of flowers in the middle of an orchestra of birdsongs… night had fallen which gave the flowers a cosmic appearance she had to feel, so she reached her hand out in front of her. Amazed by the colours her gestures created she smiled. Every move was magical as if...

Success needs action, so take it. Today!

I love to work out. It relaxes my body and my mind follows automatically. I like CrossFIT in particular. CrossFIT is a strength and conditioning program with constantly varied, high intensity and functional movements. Walking on my hands is one of my favorite exercises. The performance of a handstand with push-ups makes it even harder for me, especially when I won’t be supported by a wall. I like to be honest with you; the harder an exercise might be, the more I will put myself to it. Mastery is the result of practice. Perseverence is...

Tale of happiness: Sound of silence

Inspiration of the week: a child I had on the phone while volunteering at the ‘Kindertelefoon’ who succeeded to make me ‘swallow my tongue’. She only needed 10 minutes to turn my active talk into silence by just asking questions about life. I was astonished and decided to dedicate the ‘Tale of Happiness’ to this new experience. Once upon a time a curious 5 year old named Anne was known for her talks. Not for being a chatterbox (someone who talks a LOT) or smart talks, but for the absence of talks. Nobody had...
